2001 – EXCELLENCE IN DESIGN
Awarded by Furniture Industry Association of Australia for excellence in design and manufacture of environmentally friendly new furniture product. The UMA bed was fabricated from Unimold, an extruded sheet product made from post-consumer waste polythene.

2009 – Master of Design
Master's degree in Industrial Design (product design) conferred by Swinburne University.
This was a degree by coursework – in which I achieved a High Distinction in every subject. The final thesis was undertaken around a research by design topic: cardboard furniture - and was the precursor to cardboard furniture including award winning CB1, Seedt, Java, and the award winning CB2 cafe chair.
